Könyvjelzőcsere programunk az IASL hírei között

Kámán Veronika a KTE nemzetközi kapcsolatok felelőse folyamatos kapcsolatot tart fenn az IASL képviselőivel, KTE híreket küld a honlapjukra, fordítja az ott talált minket is érintő és érdeklő híreket és aktívan bekapcsolódott és szervezett össze iskolákat az Iskolai Könyvtárak Nemzetközi Hónapja keretében kiírt könyvjelzőcsere akcióban. Beszámolóját örömmel fogadták és most levelüket mellékelem mindenki örömére.

Dear Colleagues all over the world,
it was such a good experience to get your reports about the local celebrations of ISLM. Let me introduce our initiatives in my country, Hungary with a short report and several photos.

The International School Library Month in Hungary was just busier than ever. Under the organization of the Hungarian School Librarian’s Association, many national and local programs have been organized, and thanks to the International Association of School Libraries, we could experience even the international cooperation between school libraries, librarians and classes.
We’ve participated at the IASL’s International Bookmark Exchange Project: with the help of the Hungarian School Librarian’s Association from 16 schools more than 700 students have created bookmarks to send them to different countries. Nice partnerships have been built with schools from the USA, Ireland, Portugal, India and so on.
As in previous years, in 2013 we organized three competition for students and their teacher librarians, according to our motto: “School libraries: doorways to life” The goal of the students’ competition was to write an essay in which they describe how they immagine school libraries in 50 years time. Many essays of high standard have been born about this topic; most of the students put down a positive image about teacher librarians, and as a fact that school libraries will do exist in 50 years time.
Under the aegis of another competition, students have created codexes about the everyday life and work of a school library. It could be easily found out, that our competitors have a special, deep relationship with their libraries – it was such an important experience for us!
For our third competition teacher librarians have been invited, to redact a lesson plan with the title: “How I teach about library systems”. It’s always a good experience for us to know, that teacher librarians aim to develop themselves and their educational skills.
This was the first year to celebrate together the First Night of School Libraries, as a do-it-yourself movement of a colleague, many teacher librarians joined to the program and organized an adventurous night activity for the students of their school. More than 60 schools have participated from our country, experiencing active common work with directors, parents, teachers and the colleagues from the country.
During the month of October, many local program have been organized throughout the country. Just to mention several of them: quizzes, booktalks, reading competitions, filmclubs, exhibitions have made our October so colorful.
At the beginning of November, we, teacher librarians had an opportunity to celebrate together on the Autumn Conference of Hungarian School Librarian’s Association, hosted by the Széchényi National Library. Over the evaluation of our past term and the announcement of the results and the introduction of winner competitors, we’ve given HSLA Commemorative Medal as an appreciation for prominent school librarians of our country.
We’re looking forward to the next International Month of School Libraries, but till then, we’re ready to live of the experiences of this month during the school term’s busy everdays.
